Enjoy some soothing music while reading! About a month back, to study book illustrations and practice things on my own, I set a mini-ongoing-project for myself in which I selected scenes from a book I'm reading or have read before and illustrate it as per my interpretation / imagination. The story follows a baby elephant, May, and highlights the relations elephant families share amongst themselves as well as with humans. Through May's story, the book attempts to touch on their value to our own existence, our connection to Mother Earth through them, their way of life and their roles; and also the consequences of tourism & poaching industries adding on to their plight. The book aims at highlighting our role as consumers in these industries and also our roles as fellow inhabitants of the planet.

Perfect by Cecelia Ahern My first read of the year was Perfect by Cecelia Ahern, sequel to Flawed. I remember giving it 3.5 stars. It's a beautifully conceptualised duology and I absolutely loved the meaning and message that accompanied the story line. If you haven't yet started with this duology, I highly recommend it. It's [...]
Hi Doughie! <3 Did you know about the Purple Emperor Butterfly? It's one of the rarest and most attractive butterflies found in the woodlands of Eurasia and Japan!
